Barrier Ninjutsu is a specialized form of ninjutsu focused on creating protective or restrictive chakra fields that can block, contain, or detect targets. These barriers, often invisible or marked by glowing seals, serve a variety of purposes—defending against incoming attacks, imprisoning enemies, or forming traps and detection zones. Barrier techniques can be simple, like a chakra wall, or highly complex, such as multi-layered domes that react to intrusions or seal targets inside. Skilled users can shape barriers to specific sizes, strengths, or effects, and often employ them alongside fūinjutsu or sensory techniques. Though not always offensive, Barrier Ninjutsu plays a critical role in defense, surveillance, and battlefield control.
