Genin are the lowest official rank of shinobi, having just graduated from the academy and begun active duty. Though still considered inexperienced, Genin are full-fledged ninja and are assigned to squads under the guidance of a higher-ranking jonin sensei. These teams focus on developing teamwork, combat readiness, and individual strengths through real-world missions, typically ranging from D-rank tasks like deliveries or errands to occasional low-risk C-rank operations. Genin continue honing their chakra control, jutsu, and field tactics under close supervision, with the ultimate goal of proving themselves worthy of advancement. Despite their rank, some Genin possess exceptional talent or bloodline abilities, and many are tested through events like the Chūnin Exams to evaluate their growth and readiness for leadership.
