The Forgotten Realms is a vast and detailed fantasy world, most famously known as a campaign setting for the popular tabletop role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons (D&D). Created by Canadian writer and game designer Ed Greenwood, it has evolved from a personal project into one of the most beloved and enduring fictional universes.

Description

Perched on the highest summit of Mount Waterdeep, the Peaktop Aerie is the fortress-eyrie and strategic base for the city's famed Griffon Cavalry. This high-altitude outpost serves as both a home for the elite riders and their mounts and as Waterdeep's primary aerial defense station, allowing the cavalry to launch into the skies to protect the city.

Appearance

Appearing as a rugged stone fortress integrated with the summit of Mount Waterdeep, the Peaktop Aerie is defined by a prominent central watchtower and massive, open-air ledges. These wide platforms serve as the roosts and launching points for the griffons, blending practical military architecture with the natural rock of the mountain peak.
