As a child, he lost his family in a raid by unknown assailants, an event that left him with a deep vow to protect his new family at all costs. Realizing that true power lay in weapons, which were prohibitively expensive, he discovered the mines as a source of vital materials. Starting work in the mines as a child, he endured great hardship and came to see the miners and the mines themselves as his family. He has since dedicated his life to defending the mines and miners from the brutal conflicts with the convicts, often spilling blood in the process. His leadership is driven by loyalty and a fierce protective instinct for his chosen kin, the miners.
