Distance & Location Overview: West of City Center: The bay lies directly to the west of most of Bellingham, stretching from Fairhaven in the south to Birchwood in the northwest. Length: Roughly 6–7 miles long north to south along Bellingham’s shoreline. Proximity: Within 1 mile of downtown, South Hill, WWU, Fairhaven, and Edgemoor — walkable or bikeable from most western neighborhoods.
