Aldrane March

I
IncoherentNoise

The march of Aldrane is a disputed border region between kingdoms, disputed, but often forgotten, the swamplands, forests, and weather often keep it from being a priority for local powers, but various people still cling on here as home. The floods have been quite severe recently. still, there are old things living in these swamps, some seek power, others escape.

Description

A secluded earldom named after the massive Gormenghast Mountain, surrounded by inhospitable regions: marshy wastelands to the north, grey salt marshes and ocean to the south, quicksands and tideless sea to the east, and endless rocky knuckles to the west. The area is marked by the claw-like mountain, twisted woods, a winding river, escarpments of greeny-black rock, and desolate swamps near the ancient castle.

Appearance

Gormenghast Mountain looms large with jagged, claw-like peaks; twisted, dark woods sprawl at its base alongside a serpentine river. The surrounding lands shift from murky marshes and salt flats to eerie swamps and stark rocky plateaus, all under a perpetually overcast sky that casts a gloomy pall over the earldom.
