The Quest of the Dragon spire

A vast expanse of deep, sticky clay pits that trap unwary travelers, surrounded by jagged rock formations and sparse, twisted vegetation. The air is thick with humidity and the faint scent of minerals, with occasional tremors hinting at subterranean activity.

The ground is a patchwork of cracked, reddish-brown clay pools varying in size, some bubbling with mud and others hardened into sharp, uneven surfaces. Sparse, gnarled trees and thorny bushes cling to the edges, while distant rocky spires loom under a perpetually overcast sky.
