Solaris-3, also known as Sol-III and Solaris, is the third planet from the sun and the setting of Wuthering Waves. The planet was ravaged by a global catastrophe known as The Lament, during which the fundamental laws of physics were disrupted. This event gave rise to the Waveworn Phenomenon, a series of anomalous occurrences resulting from the destabilization of natural laws. Due to this occurrence, humans have gained the ability to resonate and manipulate frequencies, giving rise to Resonators.

Jinzhou
Jinzhou is situated on the northern border of Huanglong, nestled within the expanse of a great lake, embraced by waters on three sides and cradled by mountains on the fourth. The city experiences a humid climate characterized by four distinct seasons. Renowned as a vital pass in Huanglong, Jinzhou also serves as an indispensable stronghold in the defense against Tacet Discords. It is a fortified city on the frontier that stands guard against the looming Tacet Discord crisis, founded by the Rover during their previous awakening. It is currently governed by the Magistrate Jinhsi and the Sentinel Jué who guides her. According to Chixia and Sanhua, it is also neither the biggest nor the most populated of the seven major cities. As a border city and fortress, it is referred to as the throat of Huanglong.
