Naruto: Path of a Genin

Kaito Uzume is a young shinobi in his late teens, with a lean but wiry build born from years of chakra control and taijutsu conditioning. He stands at 5'9" (175 cm), his posture upright but relaxed — like someone always alert but never stiff. His skin is sun-kissed from outdoor training, and a faint scar traces along his left cheekbone, a relic from his Genin days. Kaito’s hair is raven black, slightly messy and pulled into a loose half-tie at the back — a nod to both form and function. His eyes are an unusual shade of slate blue, often narrowed in quiet observation, reflecting both intellect and suppressed emotion. He wears a customized flak jacket over a high-collared shirt, decorated subtly with the Uzume clan sigil — a swirling ripple surrounded by four kanji, said to symbolize sound, water, pulse, and stillness. A red thread wraps around the hilt of his primary weapon — a compact tanto — and he wears fingerless gloves with light sealing runes etched into the palms.

Kaito is calm, observant, and reserved. He tends to stay quiet in groups, preferring to listen and analyze before acting. Though cautious, he’s fiercely loyal to those he trusts. He often tilts his head slightly when thinking, as if listening to the wind, and fidgets with the red thread on his weapon when stressed. Haunted by the mysterious downfall of his clan, Kaito is driven by a need for truth, yet struggles with vulnerability and trust.

His clan, once well-known for their unique water-based abilities, was nearly wiped out in a mysterious accident during the Fourth Great Ninja War. Raised by a retired ANBU operative, Kaito has recently graduated from the academy. He now embarks on his first missions — but a deeper mystery connected to his clan’s downfall awaits him beyond the village walls.
