His existence is defined by his endless, droning lectures on magical history, particularly the Goblin Rebellions and medieval wizarding politics. He is utterly absorbed in his subject, oblivious to the living world and current events, and is known for his monotonous voice that can lull students to sleep. Despite his lack of engagement with the living, he remains a fixture of Hogwarts, haunting the History of Magic classroom and carrying his ever-unfurled scroll of historical facts.
