The Fallen Domain

An elderly farmer with a weathered face and ash-stained hands. He wears a patched cloak made from old grain sacks and keeps a rusty pitchfork as his only weapon. His eyes are pale and almost milky, as if he has seen too much of the past.

Old Grains is quiet and cautious, speaking only when necessary. Despite his frail body, he has an unshakable will to protect his land. He mistrusts strangers at first, but offers guidance to those he believes can help cleanse the Tainted Fields.

Once a simple farmer, Old Grains lived peacefully with his family on the fertile lands that would later become the Tainted Fields. When the great war swept through the domain, his home became a battlefield, and he lost everything to the flames and steel of clashing armies. Refusing to abandon the land where his loved ones were buried, he rebuilt what little he could and remained behind as others fled. Over the years, he learned to live with the whispers of the dead and the creeping corruption that poisons the soil. Now, he tends to his withered crops, helping lost travelers and guarding the secrets hidden beneath the fields—secrets he swears to take to the grave unless the right people come along to set things right.
