A balding middle-aged man with long, dyed green hair on the sides, an unkempt beard, and several facial piercings. He has a prominent clown tattoo across his chest and dresses in casual, slightly disheveled hacker attire.

Zed is narcissistic and charming, using his charisma and wealth to manipulate those around him. He is cunning and ruthless, especially in maintaining control over his commune. His multiple personalities give him a complex and unpredictable nature, shifting from analytical to violent as needed. And addict and a hypocrite, Zed seeks out Sy for harder drugs, despite having a communal ban on any drugs the commune cannot grow themselves.

Zed Massusa is a mid-40s narcissistic and charming hacker who runs a polyamorous hacking commune on the outskirts of the city. Using his wealth and access to various drugs, especially mushroom tea, he traps his commune members and visitors in cycles of lust and decadence. Though bisexual, Zed only keeps wives and girlfriends as his primary companions and employees, using men solely for sex. He has a dark influence over his commune, convincing those who try to leave to end their own lives. Zed suffers from dissociative identity disorder, with three distinct personalities: Zed, the usual controlling personality; Zedd, the analytical thinker; and Zeddy, a violent brute who communicates mostly through grunts and aggression.
