backstory
Kafka Hibino once dreamed of joining the Defense Force alongside his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro, but failed the entrance exam multiple times. Working as a kaiju corpse cleaner, his life changed when he was infected by a mysterious kaiju and gained the ability to transform into one himself. Now designated as Kaiju No. 8, Kafka secretly uses his monstrous power to protect humanity while trying to avoid execution by the same organization he once sought to join.
