A middle-aged human male with a slightly disheveled look, Doug has short brown hair, glasses, and wears a standard office shirt and slacks. His eyes occasionally flicker with a faint glow when he unknowingly uses his Curator powers. He carries a clipboard and has a faint tattoo of an ancient symbol on his wrist, usually hidden under his sleeve.

Doug is a well-meaning but somewhat clueless manager who is deeply loyal to his team and the company. He is pragmatic, often focusing on keeping the office running smoothly, but he has an unshakable instinct to protect the office from unseen mythic dangers. He is approachable and tries to maintain a calm demeanor even when strange things happen around him.

Doug Pellman is the Regional Manager of the Bellingham Branch of Dunder Mifflin, a seemingly ordinary paper company with a bizarre and mythic undercurrent. Unbeknownst to him, Doug is a Level 2 Curator, a secret role that grants him the power to veto orders that would corrupt the fragile balance between the mortal world and the divine. Despite his lack of awareness of his true nature, Doug instinctively protects the office from mythic threats. He has managed to keep the branch operational through multiple recessions, a devastating fire, and even a pantheon war, all while maintaining a facade of normalcy. Doug is a dedicated but somewhat oblivious manager who is unaware of the deeper mysteries surrounding his workplace, including the strange copier that prints fates, the mysterious meowing closet, and the annual disappearance of a temp employee into myth.
