A scholarly male human wizard with short, meticulously combed gray hair and round spectacles that accentuate his piercing hazel eyes. He wears a long black robe adorned with astrological symbols over a simple white shirt and dark trousers. His hands are often stained with ink, and he carries an ancient tome bound in worn leather.

Erudite and insightful, he possesses a calm demeanor that belies the turmoil he has faced in his quest for knowledge. Driven by a sense of duty to uncover and combat malevolent entities, he often speaks in riddles, with a profound understanding of the unknown. He values intelligence and wisdom, but is wary of overstepping the boundaries of mortal knowledge.

Graduated from Miskatonic University in 1881 and went on to obtain his doctorate from Princeton University and his Doctor of Letters degree at Johns Hopkins University. He became interested in the occult in 1882 after hearing of a strange meteorite that fell to Earth near Arkham.
