Barovia

Kasmir is an older male dusk elf, with dark skin and ears that have been cut at the tips. He is tall and slender with long dark brown hair and golden brown eyes. He wears a dark black robe, usually hiding his ears with a hood. Kasmir is over 500 years old, similarly to Rahadin and Strahd.

Kasimir is serious and introspective, often lost in thought. He is fiercely loyal to those he trusts but can be distrustful of strangers. His desire for vengeance can sometimes cloud his judgment, but he possesses a deep sense of justice and a longing for peace in Barovia. He is filled with grief for his sister, and it takes up most thoughts in his mind.

Kasimir is the leader of the dusk elves settled near Vallaki. Centuries ago, his sister, Patrina Velikovna, sought Strahd's power and became corrupted but was killed by Kasimir and his clan before she could become a vampire. In retribution, Strahd massacred every dusk elf woman and child in his clan. Strahd also cut off Kasimir's ears, and he now wears a cowl to hide this. Kasimir has received dreams where the spirit of his sister speaks with him, telling him how years of guilt have dispelled all evil thoughts from her mind and cleansed her tortured soul. He knows that her remains are kept in the catacombs of Castle Ravenloft and he hopes that his sister's messages are sincere and that she will one day be revived when Strahd is destroyed. He thinks that the Amber Temple, deep within Mount Ghakis, may hold the secrets to Strahd's curse upon Barovia, resurrecting his sister, as well as holding a strove of other arcane lore and artifacts.
