Gil’ead is a fortified city located in the northeastern reaches of the Empire, serving as a strategic military outpost for King Galbatorix. Surrounded by high stone walls and patrolled by imperial soldiers, the city is known for its dark, oppressive atmosphere. Towers loom over the city, casting long shadows on its narrow streets, and its heavy military presence makes it a feared place for anyone opposing the Empire. Gil’ead also serves as a prison, where political prisoners and enemies of the throne are held. Though bleak, the city is vital to the Empire’s control over the region, making it a place of grim importance in the war.
