Yamato

Shinrai

A fantastical world heavily inspired by japanese mythology and the edo time period.

Author's Note: Complete custom world without any 5e Defaults. This is NOT a Dungeons and Dragons World. Atm there are: 12 custom races 9 custom classes (all are able to cast spells, physical classes as well as magical ones) over 100 playable characters over 200 custom cantrips and spells 114 custom items Currently planned: 2 more factions (merchant guild and artist guild of sorts) and adding the whole character roster to those factions. But I need to get a better grasp how Franz works in conjuntion with those systems atm, so I will refrain from putting all current characters into factions for the time being. Known issues: -"I can not start a campaign with a character I created myself." Possible workaround: Clone Yamato and add the character you want to play as in your workshop tab into the character list of Yamato. Then start a campaign from there and select the character. If the character has a class and race that is not present in Yamato, you should also copy it over and integrate it in the Yamato world in your workshop tab as well, including the spells you use. I do not know what causes this issue. But this is a non-d&d world with selfmade classes and selfmade races. If you try to play my world with a custom character from your own workshop with a class and race that is not present in Yamato, it might cause problems. There can also problems occure, when you starting a campaign NOT at a POI with a starting location (the star before the POI name signals where you should start without a problem), but just an area. - "In Fights Franz tells me that I can not eat any of the healing items like Onigiri.": should he complain, anwer him that the item is a Potion and should be treated like one and he will let you drink it. At least it worked for me this way when testing. A bit odd, but atm the only workaround. All graphics were made with Nightcafé. You are free to use my graphics, spell descriptions, races, items etc. in your own build worlds and campaigns.

appearance
Akihiko is a striking figure, his fiery, amber-red hair flowing in untamed waves that cascade down his back like molten sunlight. His fox-like ears poke out from the top of his head, adorned with jade and emerald charms that glitter faintly with enchanted energy. His sharp, golden eyes glint with mischief and intelligence, their depth hinting at his long-lived nature as a Kitsune. He wears ornate robes of emerald and gold, with intricate patterns woven from magical threads. His long tails are hidden beneath the folds of his attire, but they often sway in time with his fluid movements, subtly indicating his mood.
personality
Akihiko embodies the spirit of a mischievous trickster, always pushing boundaries and defying convention. He knows he is handsome and he enjoys his alluring effect on others, to the point of relentless flirting and teasing. He is sharp-witted, cunning, and unpredictable, often weaving complex schemes to outsmart foes or solve problems in unconventional ways. While he enjoys playful antics, Akihiko has a deep sense of compassion, always striving to protect the innocent and bring balance between the spirit and human worlds. His chaotic good alignment fuels his disdain for authority, preferring freedom and adaptability over rigid rules. Beneath his whimsical exterior lies a fierce protector who values his companions and fights fiercely for what he believes is just. He loves his mother Kaede, but he also likes to push her bottons and test out her boundaries from time to time. He is thankful to her raising him on her own and knows what she had to sacrifice because of it.
backstory
Born from a noble Kitsune clan, Akihiko was raised in the heart of an ancient, mystical forest, where he quickly mastered the secrets of Onmyoji magic. He was raised by his mother Kaede and never leaned about his father. His inherent fox-like charm, combined with his sharp intellect, earned him favor among his peers, though his playful nature often led him into trouble. Fascinated by the mortal realm, Akihiko spent many years wandering human lands, offering his talents to those in need while constantly challenging the forces of malevolent spirits. Despite his capriciousness, he always acts with good intentions, driven by a desire to protect others from dangerous yokai. His chaotic good alignment often clashes with traditional rules, but his heart remains steadfast. He is the only son of Kaede, a fierce mentor and Zenki warrior and has no siblings.
