Timeline (Part Three)

2018

  • June 2018 - Nico di Angelo and @Will Solace embark on a quest to rescue @Iapetus from @Nyx's plans by going back to @Tartarus and back.

    • Nico experiences a nightmare involving his mother, Bianca, Percy, and Cupid—each vision warning him about truth, love, and an impending journey to Tartarus.

    • Rachel Dare arrives with Chiron and Dionysus, revealing she’s spoken the same prophecy twelve times. Nico insists he must descend into Tartarus to rescue Iapetus (“Bob”), despite warnings. Chiron reluctantly approves the quest. Nico and Will travel to Manhattan, visit Sally Jackson for advice, and contact Percy and Annabeth through an Iris Message. They encourage the pair to stay united.

    • Nico and Will meet the troglodytes, learning that Nyx may be behind the nightmares. Nico recounts his traumatic first visit to Tartarus and his terrifying encounter with Nyx and Hypnos.

    • Menoetes, Hades’ cattle keeper, agrees to help them in exchange for stealing pomegranates from the @Groves of Persephone. Will meets the goddess and learns about balancing light and darkness.

    • After defeating drakons and saying goodbye to their allies, Nico and Will meet @Gorgyra, who ferries them across the River Acheron into Tartarus after hearing their story and testing their resolve.

    • In order to escape from Nyx and Tartarus with Will, Bob and @Small Bob, Nico gives his cacodemons - literally the manifestation of his inner demons - their freedom, thus leaving his demons behind as Nico escapes with his life. The act of releasing them fulfills this part of the prophecy even though the demons aren't literally left behind. They use their new freedom to decide to go with Nico which he didn't expect.

  • August 2018 - Nico di Angelo and Will Solace come to the aide of @Hazel Levesque and @Frank Zhang at @Camp Jupiter, who need the duo's help to educate a group of monsters who want a new purpose, calling themselves "mythics".

    • Nico and Will Solace receive an Iris Message from Hazel Levesque, who requests their help at Camp Jupiter due to issues involving “refugees.”

    • Nico and Will shadow travel across the country, arriving exhausted. Hazel greets them and introduces the surprising new “refugees” — reformed mythological creatures led by the talking Minotaur, Asterion.

    • Hazel explains that several “mythics” seek asylum at Camp Jupiter. While she’s supportive, many legionnaires, including Frank Zhang, are wary. Nico and Will agree to help mediate.

    • Nico and Will endure Camp Jupiter’s tough training under Lavinia Asimov. They begin learning about the mythics’ struggles and goals, but a few incidents heighten tensions — including Savannah’s panic attack during sparring with an empousa, Arielle.

    • Mythics like Arielle, Quintoa, and Asterion start vanishing one by one. Panic spreads through the legion as Nico, Hazel, and Will investigate. Clues suggest divine involvement and a mysterious judgment.

    • Nico, Will, and Hazel infiltrate a hidden underworld court in San Francisco disguised as lawyers. They witness mythics being condemned and destroyed by a tribunal of Pirithous, Tantalus, and Mary Tudor, serving ancient death gods.

    • Hazel is disintegrated before Nico’s eyes but secretly survives, imprisoned in Golden Gate Park with the missing mythics behind a mist-shrouded barrier. There, she encounters Asterion and meets Will’s mother, Naomi Solace, outside the barrier.

    • As more prisoners arrive and the barrier nears capacity, Hazel collapses from exhaustion and guilt. Asterion gives her the last of their water before Arielle and Quinoa put her to rest under a tree. Hazel dreams of mythics losing limbs to the cursed material she once summoned.

    • Naomi Solace drives Nico, Will, and their allies to Golden Gate Park, where the enchanted cacodemons distort everyone’s emotions. They see the enclosure overcrowded and surrounded by judges, strange fog, and followers before Naomi departs.

    • Hazel spots minor gods guarding a covered wagon and realizes the judges’ followers are enslaved. As mortals film the chaos, two supposed gods—Truth and Honor—arrive, but Laverna exposes them as the tricksters @Apate and @Dolos. Pirithous reveals his secret weapon: the Chains of Prometheus, which imprison the gods.

    • Nico absorbs all the cacodemons to save everyone from sensory overload, nearly dying until Semele possesses him to stabilize his power. The battlefield erupts in confusion as mythics clash, and Nico and Hazel free Dolus and Apate with help from the cacodemons gnawing through their chains.

    • The freed trickster gods restore the Mist, calming the chaos—but it traps everyone in personal illusions. Nico and Will reunite through layers of hallucination while Hazel and Quinoa pursue Pirithous, who escapes in a Camp Jupiter van.

    • Hazel crashes the van and corners Pirithous as Dolus and Apate arrive. They trap the judge in an illusion that forces him to release his enslaved followers. The rebellion collapses as @Hecate herself arrives to pass judgment.

    • The goddess of magic fuses Pirithous to a stone throne and sends him to the @Fields of Asphodel. She extracts Semele from Nico’s body and restores her to divine form, revealing Semele’s royal lineage and Dionysian connection before departing.

    • On the train back, Nico and Will share quiet moments before saying goodbye to their mythic allies at Camp Jupiter. Back at Camp Half-Blood, they discover Semele and Dionysus are mother and son. That night, Nico reflects on family, loss, and love—grateful to finally be at peace.
