Poe
Poe
Medium Undead - CR 1
Poes are ghostly, malevolent spirits that haunt graveyards, ancient ruins, and other dark places where the veil between the living and the dead is thin. These spectral beings are known for their ability to phase in and out of reality, vanishing into thin air to evade attacks or reappearing suddenly to strike at their foes. The presence of a Poe is often accompanied by an unsettling chill and a faint, mournful wail that echoes through the darkness.

Actions

Flickering Lantern

The Poe uses its lantern to emit a ghostly light in a 30-foot radius. Creatures within this area must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become frightened until the start of their next turn.

Life Drain

The Poe reaches out with its ghostly hand to drain the life essence from a creature within 5 feet. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 2d10 necrotic damage and be unable to regain hit points until the end of the Poe's next turn.

Phantom Vanish

The Poe can use its action to magically become invisible until it attacks or until its concentration ends (as if concentrating on a spell). It can remain invisible in this way for up to 1 minute.
