Many of Amn’s merchant princes, war heroes, and high priests lie entombed here, their legacies preserved in gilded epitaphs and enchanted wardings. The district is off-limits to most commoners, save during holy observances like the Day of the Dead, when families are permitted to lay offerings. Although death is a business like any other in Athkatla, the Halls remind even the wealthiest that coin holds no power in the end—only legacy.
