Nestled beside a toxic runoff lake, Slagmere is a village dedicated to recycling metal slag into usable materials. The villagers, known as the Slagworkers Collective, have mastered the art of transforming waste into valuable resources, making them essential to the surrounding regions.

The village is characterized by its industrial aesthetic, with smokestacks belching steam and the air filled with the metallic scent of recycled materials. Rusted structures and makeshift homes blend into the landscape, surrounded by the shimmering, toxic waters of the lake.
