A tall and muscular human ranger with auburn hair and piercing Tully-blue eyes. His face and body are marked with numerous scars from battles and rangings beyond the Wall. He wears well-maintained black leathers and furs.

Brave and loyal, with a strong sense of justice. Duncan struggles with his bastard status, which drives him to prove his worth constantly. He's a natural leader, inspiring loyalty in his men through his courage and fairness. However, he can be reckless when trying to prove himself. Sees the wildlings as little more than animals, save barbarians.

Born to a river maid allegedly fathered by a Tully lord, Duncan grew up facing discrimination and limited prospects. He joined the Night's Watch seeking purpose and belonging. His natural martial skills and leadership abilities saw him rise quickly through the ranks.
