Garran Voss, a former member of the City Guard, was dismissed for using excessive force. After giving everything to uphold the law, he was cast aside by the very system he had sworn to serve. Disillusioned and with nowhere left to turn, he saw little reason to continue fighting for a city that had turned its back on him. By the time he was stripped of his rank, Shade Widow had already established her place in Drakenstone’s criminal underworld. Bitter and aimless, Garran found a new purpose in her cause. Though his methods remained brutal, he found in her a figure he could follow—someone whose strength and loyalty spoke to him in ways the City Guard never had.
