Ba Sing Se
Ba Sing Se, once the impenetrable heart of the Earth Kingdom, now stands at a crossroads. With the monarchy dissolved and the Earth Empire's grip broken, the city grapples with newfound autonomy. Its concentric walls no longer signify social order but echo the divisions of a society in flux. As democratic ideals take root, old powers resist, and spirits, long kept at bay, begin to stir within the city's depths. Ba Sing Se is a city of contrasts—ancient traditions clashing with revolutionary fervor, and the material world intertwining with the spiritual.

Baruu Forest
Baruu Forest is an ancient, mist-laced woodland whispered about in old Earth Kingdom folktales. Rarely mapped and poorly understood, its geography seems to subtly shift over time, as though the forest is alive and protective. Deep within, spirit activity is so high that some trees bleed glowing sap, and old growth bends away from those it deems hostile.

Full Moon Bay
Once a rigidly controlled ferry port used by the Earth Kingdom to regulate travel into Ba Sing Se, Full Moon Bay has undergone a dramatic shift. With the monarchy dissolved and the Earth Republic newly formed, the port now functions as a chaotic hub where authority is fractured, trade is booming, and the lines between legality and corruption blur daily. The bay's namesake comes from an old local belief: during a full moon, tides reveal long-submerged truths. Some claim to see ghost ships or feel the pull of the Spirit World itself. With spirits becoming more active across the world, this old myth is gaining new traction—and spiritual incidents are on the rise.

Gaipan Forest
Gaipan Forest lies nestled between forgotten hills east of the Great Divide, once bordering a small Earth Kingdom village wiped out during the Earth Empire’s expansion. Nature has reclaimed the ruins, but something else has taken root in the silence, making the forest both beautiful and unnerving. Locals avoid it, calling it cursed, as travelers who enter alone are rarely seen again—or come back changed.

Hebei’s Forest
Hebei’s Forest is a vast, ancient woodland in the Earth Kingdom, known for its deep spiritual resonance and connection to the Spirit World. Following the collapse of the Earth Empire, the forest has become a sanctuary and testing ground for benders, with increased spiritual activity manifesting as glowing lights, whispering winds, and strange creatures from Avatar Wan’s era.

Kyoshi Island
A proud and fiercely independent island off the southern coast of the Earth Kingdom, Kyoshi Island is steeped in history, honor, and tradition. Governed locally with minimal interference from the Earth Republic, it symbolizes strength and self-sufficiency, especially among women warriors. The island is a cultural and spiritual hub, attracting pilgrims and scholars alike, while its elite Kyoshi Warriors maintain its martial traditions.

Lower Ring
The Lower Ring is a vibrant and densely populated district filled with markets, street art, and a palpable sense of political energy. It serves as a hub for grassroots activism, where the community rallies for reform amidst the challenges of daily life.

Middle Ring

Misty Swamp
The Misty Swamp is a sprawling, murky wetland in the southern Earth Kingdom, partially fed by a massive river delta and seemingly infinite underground springs. It is alive and aware, with many who enter experiencing strange phenomena, such as hearing voices or getting lost despite having maps. Home to indigenous Water Tribe swampbenders, wild spirits, and semi-sentient plant life, the swamp thrives on balance and flow, though spiritual unrest has made it increasingly unpredictable since the fall of the Earth Empire.
Mortal World Map
The Mortal World is a vast and diverse realm, featuring multiple continents, islands, oceans, and points of interest. Each region is rich in culture, history, and adventure, waiting to be explored by brave adventurers.

North Spirit Wilds

Republic City
Founded after the Hundred Year War, Republic City is a bustling metropolis that embodies the struggle between technology and tradition, spirits and mortals, and democracy and control. With its towering skyscrapers and vibrant districts, the city is a melting pot of cultures and ideologies, facing increasing tensions due to the proximity of a destabilizing Spirit Portal.

Serpent’s Pass
Once a vital stone path connecting the Eastern Earth Kingdom to the outer islands near Ba Sing Se, the Serpent’s Pass is now half-submerged, weather-worn, and spiritually tainted. Refugees once used it as a desperate corridor to freedom—now, it's reclaimed by nature, spirits, and serpents alike. With the fall of the Earth Empire, and the collapse of centralized governance, regional factions are eyeing the Pass once again. It’s dangerous but invaluable—both as a smuggling route and a sacred test of will for nomadic monks and spirit-walkers. Travelers say the land remembers the footsteps of the desperate and the brave. That it judges.

Si Wang Desert
The Si Wong Desert is an arid region located in the central Earth Kingdom. It is the largest, driest, and hottest desert on Earth, and due to its extreme climate, the region is almost impossible to cross successfully. The desert is sparsely populated by the Si Wong tribes and beetle-headed merchants, and with the region outside of the control of the Earth Kingdom government, its inhabitants are effectively independent.

Southern Water Tribe
The Southern Water Tribe has transformed from a near-abandoned village into a vibrant cultural hub, showcasing resilience and community spirit. While smaller and rougher than its Northern counterpart, it boasts a unique architectural style that emphasizes functionality and warmth in the harsh polar climate.
Spirit World

The Great Divide
The Great Divide is the largest canyon in the Earth Kingdom, a massive geographical wound that runs like a fault line between now-independent territories. Once a travel route—now avoided by most—it's become a semi-lawless no-man’s-land. Tribes, bandits, and displaced refugees hide in its ravines. Rumors speak of spirit activity, lost ruins beneath the cliffs, and strange creatures never seen on the surface. Some believe the Divide was not formed naturally but was torn open by an ancient elemental battle—or worse, a spiritual war. The Earth Republic has officially declared the canyon a 'natural hazard zone,' but that hasn’t stopped treasure hunters, smugglers, or wandering monks from braving its depths.

Upper Ring

Wulong Forest
Wulong Forest is a vast, dense woodland known for its ancient stone pillars, moss-covered ruins, and deep-rooted connection to earthbending culture. It serves as a refuge for displaced earthbenders, scholars, and monks, while harboring dangers like wild creatures and unstable terrain. Legends speak of the Earth Dragon, a guardian spirit watching over the forest's secrets.
