Black Hollow

O
Ostalius

Black Hollow is cursed, sealed within a living fog that traps all who enter—no one leaves. Roads vanish, trees twist, and time frays. At the hamlet’s heart stands a rotting orphanage, echoing with phantom laughter and footsteps in empty halls. Shadows move on their own. The longer you stay, the more the fog gets inside you—changing your thoughts, your memories. In Black Hollow, escape isn’t just unlikely—it’s forgotten.

Description

This is Black Hollow's hamlet, a refuge for trapped travelers who have crossed the living fog surrounding the cursed land. It features a broken-down shack for resting, a shop under restoration by a dedicated merchant and his wife, a lively tavern offering meals and drinks, and a small tent camp at the hamlet's center for weary wanderers.

Appearance

The hamlet is shrouded in a dark mist, with dilapidated structures contrasting against the flickering lights of the restored tavern. The air is thick with the scent of woodsmoke and the sounds of distant laughter, providing a stark contrast to the eerie silence of the surrounding fog.
