Nickolus took on small odd jobs until he stumbled into an illusionary forest where he encountered his first creature of darkness. After swiftly killing it with an arrow, he felt an overwhelming sense of purpose and began taking requests from townsfolk to help with creature sightings. As he honed his skills in strength, dexterity, and knowledge, he earned the nickname 'Darkhood.' He married Isabella, but his relentless hunt for darkness led to tragedy when a vampire set a trap that caused the townsfolk, including Isabella, to fall into a deep sleep. Nickolus watched helplessly as Isabella died in his arms, and the souls of the townsfolk became twisted and malicious, haunting him with whispers and visions, especially Isabella's. Now feared as a harbinger of death, he seeks redemption and a way to push back the darkness that haunts him.
