A stooped but sturdy man in a USPS uniform that’s always immaculately pressed. He wears sunglasses even on overcast days. His mailbag is visibly too deep, capable of holding full paintings and flaming scrolls. His shoes never leave prints.

Polite, efficient, and weirdly ageless, Walt is a man of few words who treats everyone with a calm, respectful demeanor. He is mysterious and slightly unsettling due to his unblinking gaze and occasional slips into Latin. He is deeply committed to his secret role and takes his duties very seriously.

Walter Greaves, known as Walt the Umbra Mailman, is a Veilrunner and retired active agent of the Umbra Bureau. He has been delivering mail through the Suburbia Hills Veil fractures since the 1970s, acting as a monitor of timeline consistency. Walt hand-delivers Divine Corrections—letters from the gods that can rewrite reality—and carries a mysterious scroll marked 'Open only if Castor returns.' Despite his stooped appearance, he is weirdly ageless and never leaves footprints. He has a strict policy of banning Castor from receiving mail anywhere in Bellingham.
