Descended from a long-forgotten line of dragoon riders, Kaelen grew up on tales of skies aflame with dragonfire and brave warriors who danced among the clouds. When his village was consumed by warlords exploiting Gru’s fading magic, he fled into the ruins of the Aerthrim Peaks — where legend says the last dragons still sleep. There, he found a dying dragon clutching a single, glowing scale. It whispered to him of the old bond, of the pact between dragon and rider. Kaelen swore then to restore what was lost. Over the years, he’s scoured ancient texts, tracked faded ley lines, and even touched the dying essence of Gru’s fading Heartstone. Now, with the Rebel Moon cracking above and omens bleeding into the sky, Kaelen believes the time has come. If he can find and bond with the last true dragon, perhaps the dragoon riders can rise again — and with them, Gru's final hope.
