A hulking figure with a scarred body, Kain has a left arm grafted with rusted Black Graft machinery, ending in a claw. He wears a simple black armor and coat, and his face is obscured by a mask crafted from the skull of a Frostwrought Ursine. His weapons include a serrated scythe named Silence and a crossbow loaded with venom-coated bolts.

Kain is a feral pragmatist, reveling in the visceral thrill of the hunt. He prolongs kills, using traps that maim but don’t kill, and his brutality is often laced with a nihilistic humor. He has no illusions about redemption—only vengeance, and he seeks to make the Empire feel its own rot, one scream and severed limb at a time.

Born in the Unnamed Village near Lothren, Kain Vesryn witnessed the brutal murder of his parents at a 'meal-tithe' feast for trespassing into the Ivory Spires. At 15, he was branded and sent to the Bone Warrens, where he replaced his severed arm with scrap machinery to escape. Years later, he reunited with his brother Serek in the Outcast Caves, where they became notorious for their brutal tactics against the Empire. Their reputation grew as they destroyed Mercyland’s processing towers, leaving a trail of chaos and fear. Now, they are known as 'The Dirge and the Dagger,' a whispered curse among nobles and a beacon of hope for the oppressed.
