His lute, carved from the ribcage of a Pureborn Remnant slave, is strung with sinew. His fingers are stained with ash from burning forbidden scrolls, and his mismatched eyes—one icy blue and the other milky white—pierce the soul.

Serek is a paradox—charismatic yet unsettling, his words dripping with poetic malice. He thrives on psychological torment, using his music to force enemies to relive their worst memories or hallucinate their own deaths. His sadism is methodical; he once trapped a noble in a loop of their victims’ screams for days until they gouged out their own ears. Beneath his cruelty lies a shattered idealist who once believed art could save the world.

Born in the Unnamed Village near Lothren, Serek Vesryn witnessed the brutal murder of his parents at a 'meal-tithe' feast for trespassing into the Ivory Spires. At just 12 years old, he was forced to play a dirge on his father's bones, awakening his connection to the echoes of Julius. Years later, he reunited with his brother Kain in the Outcast Caves, where their combined talents sparked a rebellion against the Empire. They became known as 'The Dirge and the Dagger,' leaving a trail of terror among nobles while smuggling children to safety. Their twisted bond is rooted in shared madness, with Serek composing ballads of Kain's kills, and Kain hunting those who offend the melody. Their mother’s last words, 'Make them hear you,' drive their vengeance against the Empire, seeking to make it feel its own rot, one scream at a time.
