Choose Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, Poison, or Thunder. Make a ranged spell attack; on a hit, the target takes 3d8 damage of the chosen type. If two or more d8s show the same number, the orb leaps to another creature within 30 ft. Make a new attack and damage roll for the new target. The orb can’t leap again unless cast with a spell slot of 2nd level or higher. At Higher Levels: Damage increases by 1d8 per slot level above 1st.
