Eryndor is a mystical land where ancient magic and mortal ambition collide.

Author's Note: Eryndor is a world where ancient magic intertwines with mortal ambition, teeming with diverse cultures, living history, and uncharted mysteries. Each region—from the pirate-infested Shattered Isles to the cursed Obsidian Wastes—tells its own story, shaped by past choices that echo into the present. Magic, both a tool and a threat, flows through the Aether Veins, fueling innovation while posing risks to balance. Heroes emerge not from destiny but from the fringes of society, their choices shaping a morally complex world where good and evil blur. The divine pantheon actively influences mortal lives, and ancient artifacts like the Blade of Aryn’Dral carry immense power with dire consequences. The floating city of Skyhaven debates the ethics of controlling magic, while shadowy regions like Virewood Forest and Shadowfell Cove hide untold secrets. Eryndor invites exploration and rewards curiosity, where every decision ripples through the ever-changing landscape. It is not just a setting but a living character, shaped by its inhabitants' dreams and struggles, offering endless opportunities for adventure and discovery.

Description

Half-Elves are a unique race born from the union of humans and elves, embodying the strengths and traits of both parentages. They originated in the lush woodlands of Eryndor, where human settlers and elven tribes coexisted and intermingled. Their existence symbolizes harmony and the bridging of cultures, but also the tension that arises from their dual heritage. ### Traits: Half-Elves possess a striking combination of physical features. They typically have the pointed ears and slender builds of elves, but their facial structures tend to be more robust, resembling humans. Their hair color varies widely, reflecting human diversity, while their eyes often retain the vibrant hues of their elven ancestry. ### Cultural Traits: Culturally, Half-Elves are known for their adaptability and diplomacy. They often serve as mediators between humans and elves, navigating the complexities of both societies. Their music and art reflect a blend of human creativity and elven elegance, making them skilled performers and artisans. ### Lore: In Eryndor's history, Half-Elves emerged during a period of relative peace, acting as symbols of unity in times of conflict. However, their existence has also been a source of tension, particularly when elven traditions clash with human ambitions. Many Half-Elves find themselves torn between two worlds, often seeking their own path and identity. ### Abilities: - **Dual Heritage**: Half-Elves gain proficiency in two skills of their choice, reflecting their diverse upbringing. - **Fey Ancestry**: They have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put them to sleep, a gift from their elven lineage. - **Adaptable Magic**: Once per long rest, they can cast a spell from the bard or druid spell list as a 1st-level spell without expending a spell slot, showcasing their affinity for magic from both cultures. Half-Elves are distinct in Eryndor, often serving as the glue that holds together the realms of men and elves, and their unique traits make them invaluable in both combat and social interactions.
