Europa Occidilantis

A stocky young man with a round face, rosy cheeks, and a disheveled mop of straw-colored hair. He has a broad, friendly smile that reveals a gap between his front teeth. His clothes are often ill-fitting and stained from meals or drinking sessions.

Janek is a good-natured, if somewhat dim-witted, fellow. He's always ready with a joke or a song, and his infectious laughter can brighten even the dreariest of days. He has a deep love for his homeland and its traditions, and he's fiercely loyal to his friends and family. He's also a bit of a dreamer, and his head is often filled with romantic notions of chivalry and heroism.

Janek comes from a family of well-to-do burghers in the town of Ústí nad Labem. His family has a long tradition of military service, and they're eager for Janek to follow in their footsteps. Janek, however, is more interested in drinking, singing, and chasing after pretty girls. Despite his lack of enthusiasm, he's been sent to squire for a local knight, Sir Jindřich of Děčín, in the hopes that he'll learn some discipline and martial skills.
