Description
Midgar is a sprawling metropolis built above the ground, powered by eight giant mako reactors. It is divided into eight sectors, with a stark contrast between the affluent upper plate and the impoverished slums below. The city is a hub of technological advancement, but also a symbol of environmental degradation and corporate greed, ruled by the Shinra Electric Power Company. The atmosphere is perpetually dark, with the upper areas often shrouded in shadows, while the slums struggle under the weight of pollution and despair.
