Sky Pirates

Author's Note: Noraeos is a world where the sky has fractured into multiple layers, each with its own unique environment, time flow, and civilizations. The world was once whole, but centuries ago, a cataclysmic event shattered the sky into floating islands, each separated by vast chasms and strange storms. These sky islands are held aloft by the remnants of ancient magic and technology, and each has its own ecosystem, culture, and dangers. The people of Noraeos live in constant tension between the grounded land, which is rapidly becoming inhospitable, and the floating islands in the sky.

Veyrans

Description

Veyrans are thin, wiry humanoids with features resembling birds of prey. They have sharp, angular features, and their skin is covered in short, fine feathers that vary in color depending on the region they inhabit. Their eyes are keen and predatory, capable of seeing great distances, and their hands are clawed, well-suited for climbing. Their wings are made of light, dense bone and are used more for gliding and soaring than for true flight.
