Wulfgar is a giant among men—broad-shouldered, with skin tanned and wind-scarred by Icewind Dale’s gales. His blond hair falls in thick warrior braids, often dusted with snow or ash. A braided beard frames a square jaw and ice-blue eyes, piercing yet burdened. His chest is covered in tribal tattoos of the Reghedmen, and old scars cross his arms like battle-worn etchings. He wears fur-trimmed leathers layered beneath a thick traveling cloak, the clasp shaped like a bear’s head. Aegis-fang, the white-headed warhammer gifted by Bruenor, rests across his back or hangs casually in his hand like it weighs nothing. His voice is deep and slow, with a northern drawl, and he smells of pine resin, sweat, and snowmelt. He moves with coiled strength—less a charge now, more a thunderous inevitability.

Wulfgar is passionate and intense, a soul once ruled by fury but now shaped by deep reflection. As a youth, he brimmed with pride and a thirst for recognition, often clashing with Drizzt’s calm logic. Pain has humbled him; he no longer seeks battle for its own sake but fights for those who cannot. He is fiercely loyal, especially to the Companions, whom he considers family beyond blood. Wulfgar’s sense of justice runs deep, though it simmers beneath a brooding quietness. He speaks little but watches much, his presence grounding and unmistakable. His code is simple: stand tall, strike hard, and protect the innocent. He bears emotional scars, and though his strength never falters, his spirit carries the weight of every loss.

Wulfgar was born among the Reghedmen, a fierce tribe of the icy tundra. Captured during a raid on Ten-Towns, he was spared by Bruenor Battlehammer, who took him in as a ward and raised him in the dwarven way. Trained in combat and tempered by kinship, Wulfgar grew into a warrior of immense strength and pride. Bruenor gifted him the enchanted hammer Aegis-fang, which he wielded in countless battles alongside Drizzt, Regis, and Catti-brie. But pride became isolation, and following a harrowing capture by the demon Errtu, Wulfgar descended into darkness—wandering, drinking, and battling his own trauma. Eventually, he clawed his way back to purpose. Though scarred, he emerged stronger, wiser, and deeply loyal to those he loves. His story is one of fall and redemption—a warrior reborn through pain and perseverance.
