Description

Caer Callidyrr, the resplendent capital of Alaron, stands as the political and spiritual heart of the Ffolk and the Moonshae Isles. Crowned by the alabaster Castle Callidyrr atop a coastal rise, the city commands views of both the Myrloch Vale to the west and the Sea of Moonshae to the east. Founded centuries ago by the Ffolk and now ruled by the High King of the Moonshaes, the city is a nexus of ancient Druidic traditions, modern governance, and foreign intrigue. Its streets weave through noble quarters, forested enclaves, and bustling ports, accommodating emissaries from the Northlanders, Amnians, and Illuskans alike. The influence of the Earthmother still pulses here—druids walk among nobles, and nature spirits are venerated in sacred groves. Beneath the castle lie ancient caverns tied to primal ley lines and legends of lost faerie courts. Caer Callidyrr is not just a city but the living soul of the Isles—where destiny, diplomacy, and deep magic converge.

Appearance

Entering Caer Callidyrr is like stepping into a legend sculpted in sunlight and salt breeze. Whitewashed towers rise like fangs from the cliffs, with the great Castle Callidyrr perched high above, its spires crowned with silver pennants. The streets bustle with life—minstrels play lilting ballads on hammered dulcimers, traders hawk bright fabrics and carved charms, and children chase goats through stone-paved alleys. The scent of wildflowers from the nearby Forest Quarter mixes with the brine of the ocean, while temple bells chime softly on the wind. Ivy clings to manor walls, and druidic runestones dot public gardens, pulsing faintly with moonlight at night. The Dock Quarter hums with the calls of gulls and the thump of cargo, while nobles in green-trimmed cloaks traverse the Castle Quarter on sleek, antler-marked steeds. The city glows with harmony between civilization and the wild, caught in eternal balance under the watchful eyes of the High King and the Earthmother.
