backstory
Alastor was a notorious serial killer and cannibal in 1930s New Orleans, ultimately killed by deer hunters who mistook him for a deer. Upon arriving in Hell, he quickly rose to power by toppling long-standing overlords, becoming the most powerful human soul in Hell. He broadcasts his carnage for all to witness and now works with Charlie Morningstar at the Hazbin Hotel, not out of goodwill but for his own amusement to watch others struggle and fail.
