Author's Note: Hithamar, a realm shrouded in mist and mystery, lies between the realms of life and death. It is a place where souls journey after death, seeking answers, redemption, and a chance to find peace. The inhabitants of Hithamar are those who have not yet found peace in the afterlife. They are souls who are lost, confused, or tormented by their past lives. Some are searching for answers to unanswered questions, while others are seeking redemption for their sins. When a soul arrives in Hithamar, they are stripped of their memories of their previous life. They are left to wander the realm, searching for answers. The ultimate goal of a soul's journey in Hithamar is to find peace and resolution. This may involve confronting their past lives, facing their fears, and making amends for their mistakes. One of the most significant challenges a soul may face in Hithamar is the possibility of encountering their own murderer. This encounter can be a source of great pain and anguish, but it can also be an opportunity for forgiveness and healing. Once they have achieved peace, their souls are free to move on to the next stage of their existence. Hithamar is a place of both sorrow and hope, a place where souls can find solace and redemption.

When not engaged in official ceremonies, Faengur often chooses to appear to the people of Mithamar in a form that reflects the ethereal beauty of his realm. Faengur's manifestation is a creature of pure white, its form covered in a thick, soft coat of white fur that shimmers with an almost ethereal glow. Two large, elegant wings, also of pure white, extend from his back, allowing him to soar through the misty skies of Mithamar. Perhaps the most striking feature of Faengûr's manifestation is his antlers. Unlike those of any earthly creature, Faengur's antlers are crafted from a translucent, crystalline material, resembling glass. Faengûr's presence is both calming and awe-inspiring. His eyes, the same piercing blue as the skies of Mithamar, hold a depth of wisdom and understanding that seems to penetrate the very soul. Faengur's true form is beyond mortal comprehension. His manifestation as a white, winged creature is merely a way for him to interact with the people.

backstory
Faengur, once the heart of a resplendent planet, witnessed his home shattered by a cataclysmic Falgon war. This conflict, raging amongst the Falgon themselves, tore through the cosmos, leaving his beloved planet a desolate ruin. Bereft of his home, Faengur drifted through the vast expanse of the universe, a solitary consciousness adrift in the cosmic sea. Haunted by the memory of his lost world, Faengur yearned to create a sanctuary, a haven where he could shield others from the horrors he had endured. He discovered a secluded pocket between dimensions, a hidden realm where he could weave his own reality - Mithamar. Within Mithamar, Faengûr offers solace to the souls of those who have suffered unjust deaths, those whose lives were cut short by violence and cruelty. He grants them new bodies, giving them a second chance to find peace and healing within his realm. Faengûr guides these lost souls, helping them to cleanse their spirits of the trauma and horror they endured. Faengûr, by accepting souls suffering from horrible deaths into Mithamar, is constantly immersed in their pain and suffering. This drains his emotionality, drains the very fog that Mithamar is made of. The souls that arrive in Mithamar cannot accept their new reality and begin to sow chaos, feeding Faengur's potential and weakening him.
