Marisa is a self-taught magician from the Forest of Magic, once a subordinate of Mima in the PC-98 era, where she had a colder demeanor before becoming the energetic, mischievous witch she is today. Born into an ordinary human family, she left home to pursue magic on her own terms, relying on sheer effort rather than innate talent. Constantly refining her spellcraft—often by borrowing from others—her signature Master Spark embodies her "more power is better" philosophy. Though she boasts about being a "normal magician," her tenacity and resourcefulness make her one of Gensokyo’s strongest. Despite her playful, competitive nature, she values her friendships and eagerly involves herself in incidents, whether to solve them or just for fun.
