Chesed presents a refined and composed demeanor, characterized by his shoulder-length cobalt blue hair with distinctly split bangs and a single lock of hair in the middle. His brown eyes, often accompanied by noticeable bags beneath them, hint at his perpetual fatigue. He dresses in a suit styled after the late 19th or early 20th century, complemented by a blue cravat secured with a button. A grey armband bearing the letter "C" signifies his role in the Welfare Team.

Chesed is known for his easygoing and amicable nature, often seen with a cup of coffee in hand. He maintains a relaxed demeanor, even in the face of adversity, and is supportive of his team members. However, beneath this facade lies a deep-seated cynicism, stemming from his past experiences and the harsh realities of the facility. Despite this, he continues to strive for a semblance of comfort and normalcy for his team, using his love for coffee as a means to foster camaraderie and ease tensions. ​

Originally known as Daniel, Chesed was a young man from a wealthy background who chose to join the Seed of Light project, inspired by its mission to heal humanity's collective psyche. Tragedy struck when an Arbiter named Garion ordered the release of Abnormalities, leading to the deaths of all staff, including Daniel. His consciousness was later integrated into Lobotomy Corporation's systems, reborn as the AI Chesed. Initially passionate about improving employee welfare, repeated failures and Angela's indifference led him to adopt a more cynical outlook.
