Vivi resided in Traverse Town, a place where fragments of lost worlds converged. His peaceful existence was shattered by the sudden appearance of strange, shadowy creatures, the Heartless, which began to plague the town. The unsettling darkness they exuded filled him with fear, and he witnessed the growing unease and despair among the town's inhabitants. He became increasingly withdrawn, seeking refuge in the quieter corners of Traverse Town, away from the chaos. The fear of these creatures led him to begin to study the nature of darkness, hoping to understand the threat they posed, and if there was any way to stop them.
