Enhancers (BAK)
Category page
Enhancers are items with physical or magical properties that modify the statistics of armor and swords in Betrayal at Krondor.
Enhancer uses do not stack and a new use will supplant the one used previously. In contrast to Betrayal in Antara, applications of Enhancers are not canceled out by subsequent repair with a Whetstone or Armorer's Hammer.
Although Coltari Poison is used on Rations rather than on weapons or armor, it is categorized as an enhancer for commercial purposes.

Alcohol (BAK)
Category page
Alcoholic beverages are potable substances which can render party members Drunk in Betrayal at Krondor.
Portability
Of the four items in this category, only the Cask of Ale can be carried in party members' Inventories. The other three types of drinks, available in various Inns, Taverns, and some small businesses, are consumed immediately by the party member who purchases them.
Consuming alcohol causes various degrees of drunkenness, which speeds healing if party members sleep while drunk.
Trivia
A non-commercial source of alcohol, the intoxicating well, only affects Gorath.
There is one other consumable item, Days Rations, which is eaten immediately on purchase and cannot be carried in Inventory.
"Healer's alcohol" is one of the components of Herbal Packs, which also speed healing if used before sleep.
