Overview

The Lifestone was crafted in the darkest days of the Chaos Wars by the Valheru Draken-Korin, possibly inspired by the crystallization of magic on Timirianya. Valheru powers beyond Pug's comprehension were invested in the stone. It was intended to enable them to wreak unimaginable destruction and conquer the universe.

In time, the artifact came to be hidden in a chamber in the Sethanon Caverns.

A decade ago, Murmandamus, a Pantathian who disguised himself as a moredhel to manipulate the tribes of the Northlands, launched the Great Uprising in order to reach the Lifestone, hoping to activate it and return the Valheru to power. The Uprising culminated in the Battle of Sethanon, during which a rift opened above Sethanon and dragons flooded the skies. In the Lifestone chamber, Prince Arutha, in Pug's presence, finally slew Murmandamus and a magical battle took place in which the souls of the Valheru were sealed within the Lifestone.
