Aztec Mythology
The gods are gone, the sun won’t rise—will you save the world or let it burn?
Author's Note: Mecatl is unlike any fantasy setting you've played before—a world where the gods demand sacrifice, where divine cycles of creation and destruction shape history, and where your choices may decide the birth of an entirely new era. If you love high-stakes storytelling, mythic struggles, and a rich, underexplored mythological foundation, this is your world. The apocalypse isn’t coming… it’s here. What will you do with your final days?

Description
A semi-active volcano, constantly releasing sulfurous steam and tremors that shake the land. Its slopes are home to the Tlatcani, the Burned Priests, who live in blackened caves, believing the volcano is a gateway to the gods' wrath. The summit holds an ancient altar, where heretics and exiles seek divine visions through fire-walking rituals. Tlilcoatl, the Ashborn Sorcerer, preaches that a forgotten god sleeps beneath the lava, waiting to be awakened.
Appearance
The mountain is dark and foreboding, with plumes of steam rising from its crater and ash covering the surrounding landscape. The caves are charred and twisted, filled with the faint glow of embers and the scent of sulfur.
