Garrick summons a cataclysmic surge of spectral water and ghostly figures that explode from the ground at a point he chooses within range. Creatures in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, they take 8d4 cold damage and 8d4 necrotic damage as the spirits claw and pull at them. On a success, they take half damage. The surge of water creates difficult terrain in the area until the start of Garrick’s next turn, as ghostly remnants linger and writhe. Any creature killed by this spell has its soul trapped momentarily, emitting a mournful wail as it dissipates. Garrick regains 10 hit points for every creature slain this way.
