Giftersare the crew's elite soldiers, comprised of nearly 500Artificial Zoan users. Having eaten SMILEs, they have Zoan-like abilities, equipped with the strength and bodily attributes of animals. Only 10% of the people who have eaten SMILEs gain powers and are thus considered "gifted" (hence their name). Overall, Kaidou seems to highly value the Gifters due to his dream of creating an all-Zoan pirate crew
