G-1, better known as Marineford is the headquarters of the Marine Corps and one of the most significant military installations in the world. Located between the Paradise and New World regions, Marineford is strategically positioned as a key military stronghold that oversees the operations of the World Government’s military. The island is home to the Marine Admirals, Vice Admirals, and other high-ranking officers, and features the Marine HQ, a vast fortress that houses dormitories, armories, and training grounds for Marine recruits. The island is famous for its military power and for being the site of major battles that determine the fate of both pirates and the World Government's interests. Marineford’s importance lies in its role as the military might of the World Government, maintaining order through force while managing the most dangerous threats the seas have to offer.
