Urban Fantasy
I am Thou... Thou art I... Awaken your Persona for an adventure in Tokyo and the Metaverse!
Author's Note: This project is still a work in progress, but updates are frequent. At present, you can explore a portion of Tokyo either as Akira or a custom character. More locations are being added regularly. The Metaverse is loosely defined for now, and combat is fairly minimal, but the framework is flexible enough to support improvised play. Be sure to read the READ ME notes on the map; they include essential guidance for players. The Roadmap and Recent Updates sections below outline current progress. Remember to sync frequently to receive the latest content.
You are Unchained. Play however you choose. Following the Persona plot is optional; light scaffolding exists to support that route, but you're never required to take it. With Franz, you can begin the story as anyone, in any way. He responds to your direction and adapts accordingly. The Narrative Guide allows further customization of how Franz delivers the story and how gameplay is shaped around your input.
Two original characters are included as templates: one male, one female. Use them as a fresh starting point or create someone entirely your own. You're not restricted to Joker (Akira or Ren, rename him to whatever you like!); several other playable characters will eventually have their own unique starting locations but for now you're free to set your own start up.
If you have any questions or feedback, join the Fables Discord. Look for Persona 5 Unchained in #share-public-creations. I'm there under the same name and can be pinged directly.

appearance
In the real world, Momo is a petite but lively girl with soft, wavy black hair held back by red clips. Her dark brown eyes carry warmth and hesitation in equal measure. Fair skin and doll-like features give her a fragile look, but she moves with quiet resolve. At school, she wears the Shujin uniform with oversized sweaters layered over her blouse, pairing it with leggings instead of tights. Her smile is radiant—though not always honest.
In the Metaverse, she becomes Muse—a masked figure of gothic grace. Her corseted teal dress is cinched and layered with black lace, sleeves flowing behind her like ink in water. A blue flower blooms beside her temple, tucked behind a golden mask with green lenses and fine filigree. A lace choker rests high at her neck. Muse doesn’t strike first. She waits, watches, and moves with sudden, liquid elegance. She doesn’t overpower. She draws you in—and doesn’t let go.
personality
Momo is warm, empathetic, and deeply caring, but also plagued by insecurity and self-doubt. Raised by her strict mother, she learned to hide her emotions, fearing disappointment. At school, she wore a mask of happiness, never letting others see her struggles. Her anxiety and fear of not being enough weigh heavily on her, especially in her relationship with Thom, where she fears she’s not strong enough to keep him from slipping away.
Despite this, Momo has a quiet strength. Her awakening, inspired by Ophelia’s voice, marks a turning point. She stops trying to meet others' expectations and begins living for herself. Though she still faces her fears, she now embraces her emotions rather than running from them. With Ophelia’s guidance, Momo shatters the chains of self-doubt, finally rising to fight for herself and the ones she loves.
backstory
Momo Moreno grew up between two cultures—her Spanish father and Japanese mother. Though her household was filled with love, her mother’s strict expectations weighed heavily on her. Momo learned to hide her fears and anxieties, fearing disappointment if she showed any weakness. At school, she was well-liked but felt isolated, masking her struggles.
Meeting Thom changed everything. He made her feel like she could be herself, away from her perfect image. But despite her role as his anchor, she feared she wasn't strong enough to help him. Her therapist deepened her self-doubt, feeding her insecurities.
When faced with her own demons, Momo almost gave in. But Ophelia’s voice broke through, reminding her she was more than what others expected. She chose herself for the first time, shattering the chains of self-doubt. Momo was free, ready to fight for herself—and Thom.
